Welcome to the first public writing for Situ Strategy, the human-centered management consultancy.

Situ grew out of my work creating the Center for Citizen Experience, an advocacy and consulting firm that applied design to the big challenges of society by helping government work better for people — combining service design, policy innovation, and strategy consulting with immersive learning and coaching.

After five years for Citizen Experience, it was clear that this sort of hybrid consulting and capability development could scale to all sorts of purpose-driven organizations — especially as organizations work to transform to better serve customers, clients, or citizens. But even in the public sector not everyone thinks with the frame of “citizen”. So Situ Strategy was born in 2015 to carry on and level up the work of creating capability, capacity, and culture for organizations that need to tackle complex adaptive challenges.

Situ is a management consultancy that uses human-centered design tools and strategies to help organizations design better services, deliver better customer experiences, and transform the organization to support this value.

I hope you’ll come along for the ride as I explore new insights, share tools and methods, and invest more time in reflection.
